Spring Affair

A Donna Summer song, which is completely disco-tastic, although a bit earlier than the tunes I'm currently listening to as I write this (I've just had an 80's mega marathon of songs and am now heading into the 90's which is about as modern as I seem to get these days!).

I think most of us are a little over the winter by now and with that in mind I'm looking towards Spring with my favourite picks from Stradivarius - another amazing Spanish brand who your friends might not have heard of (always good in my book as you'll be able to snap up some great pieces and no-one you know will be wearing them).

First up a rather lovely pleated ombre skirt, £29.99, which would look amazing on a strawberry shape to add volume and balance your great shoulders and boobs. I personally would be wearing this with heels and swishing it around as much as possible.. (spinning yourself around and around like Lynda Carter is optional if, like me, it just makes you feel drunk without the pleasure of alcohol or doesn't actually turn you into Wonderwoman..)

Next is this inverted lapel coat, £29.99, which also comes in red and sky blue. I love the clean lines and simplicity of it.

This ribbed dress with stripes on the hem, £25.99 is another great buy for slightly warmer weather (it will happen!).

Animal print in belt form - yes please! Especially in a red version, £7.99. Such an easy way to introduce colour into an outfit.

I own quite a few things with stripes (including a midi dress I got a lot of wear out of last Spring!) and this is a great version, with a flattering crossover in easy-to-wear colour navy, £35.99.

Another dress option with lovely colour block detail £19.99.

I love this whole outfit! This is a great striped jacket which would look fantastic with jeans too, £29.99.

I'd call this a kitten heel, but this is their bejewelled mid-heel court shoes, £39.99.

Spots not stripes this time! This knit dress with contrasting polka dots, £29.99 is gorgeous!

Yes it's faux leather but a great price for this navy biker jacket, £29.99.

Oooh tweed, slingbacks and a kitten heel (even though they're called their 'high heel court shoe'), £39.99.

Black flat mules with a ruffle trim, £19.99 for when ankles and feet can feel some sunshine on them!

You and I know this is most definitely a bum bag, but their belt bag is actually one I'd wear, £15.99. Wear slung over your shoulder as you would a normal bag to avoid that '1989 Spanish holiday vibe'..

Or you can play it safe with this quilted crossbody bag with scarf, £15.99 in classic black.

You may know by now that I'm a believer that the bigger the earring the better! These huge 'love' hoop earrings, £7.99 are not going to be everyone's cup of tea but they work for me!

Finally finishing up with the aptly named 'Spring flower crystal necklace', £15.99.

I hope that provided a bit of inspiration for some additions to your Spring wardrobe and as ever, if you'd like to see something in particular please feel free to comment or get in touch.
